Job summary

Synaccess Networks is seeking a hands-on Production Lead in San Diego to direct a small team on the assembly line, safety testing, QC, and packaging. You’ll set daily priorities from the production queue and ensure every unit leaving the building is built, tested, and packed correctly.

You’ll supervise 2–4 technicians, train and support the crew, and help drive continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, electronics assembly, QA or a similar technical environment.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a small team while staying active in the production work.
• Basic electronics assembly and disassembly, soldering, wire stripping, crimping and heat-shrink experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems: failed tests, error messages, defective units.
• Strong organization, time management, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple orders and plan for upcoming production and inventory needs.
• Clear written and verbal communication with your team and with other departments.
• Comfort with computers: entering data, navigating files and reading error messages.
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team: assign work to 2–4 technicians and track tasks.
• Train and support: coach Production & QA Technicians and address problems.
• Set the day’s priorities: review orders and ship dates and ensure work is done on time.
• Keep it moving: adjust workloads to maintain smooth production flow.
• Look ahead: review upcoming demand, inventory and components to spot shortages.
• Speak up early: report delays or quality concerns before a missed shipment.
• Protect quality: ensure procedures, testing and packaging are completed before shipping.
• Never skip safety: ensure all units pass safety tests, even on rush orders.
• Make it better: help improve production processes and overall efficiency.
