Job summary

UFP Industries in Texas seeks a dependable Production Supervisor to lead and support the production team on the floor, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time output. This hands-on leadership role requires clear communication, problem solving, and the ability to remove obstacles that slow progress.

You will train and coach staff, manage manpower and workflow, and partner with maintenance and safety leaders to uphold 5S, TPM, and CI initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Post high school education is required.
  • 3–5 years in manufacturing with 1–3 years in people management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with UFPI systems including policy training.
  • Experience with Citrix and email etiquette.
  • Understanding of CI, 5S and TPM basics.
  • Knowledge of LOTO and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production employees to meet daily goals.
  • Communicate daily production goals and priorities.
  • Monitor production progress and keep on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot floor issues and remove production obstacles.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and information are available to complete work.
  • Monitor quality and address concerns promptly.
  • Maintain safety, PPE, and housekeeping standards.
  • Train and cross-train staff in different production areas.
  • Provide daily feedback and performance coaching.
