Job summary

KrateoSky is hiring a Product Security Capability Leader to build and scale a core engineering capability that supports every product line in our portfolio.

This leader end-to-end cyber-physical product security across UAS platforms, payload and mission systems, ground systems, data links, embedded environments, software deployment paths, telemetry/data systems, cloud-connected product services, manufacturing/PLM access paths, and fielded operational environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product cybersecurity, embedded systems security, or cyber-physical security for connected hardware/software platforms.
• 3+ years of progressive people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• Deep experience defining and enforcing embedded/product cybersecurity controls for defense or mission-critical systems.
• Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or mission-critical environments.
• AI-native proficiency and ability to leverage AI tools to increase productivity.
• Security Clearance: Eligible to obtain US DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Capability Governance: Establish and maintain shared engineering methods, standards, toolchains, metrics, and review practices across the portfolio.
• Technical Authority: Serve as the functional authority for the capability and ensure scalable technical depth.
• Reference Architectures & Reuse: Define common frameworks and reusable assets across product lines.
• Design & Technical Reviews: Chair capability-specific design reviews and roadmaps.
• Functional Leadership: Build and develop the capability organization and manage hiring.
• Cross-Portfolio Enablement: Partner with product lines to leverage shared assets.
• Maturity & Risk Management: Implement iterative development practices and risk reduction.
• Scale AI-Native Engineering: Integrate AI-based design and automation tools into workflows.
• Product Security Architecture: Define security patterns across UAS, payloads, and cloud services.
• Secure Platform Controls: Establish secure boot, cryptographic key management, and access controls.
• Secure Development & Evidence: Define secure SDLC and evidence requirements for verification.
• Vulnerability & Cyber Test Posture: Own vulnerability management and remediation tracking.
