Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in avionics, embedded systems, or flight control hardware engineering.
• 6+ years of progressive people management experience, including building/leading high‑performing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
• Experience building or scaling engineering processes, standards, and teams.
• Experience with MBSE and digital engineering practices.
• Experience in regulated, safety‑critical, or mission‑critical environments.
• AI‑native proficiency: ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools are part of your default workflow.
• Security Clearance: Eligible to obtain US DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain shared engineering methods, standards, toolchains, metrics, and reviews.
• Serve as the functional authority for the capability and ensure scalable technical depth.
• Define and mature common frameworks and reusable assets across product lines.
• Chair design reviews, independent technical reviews, and roadmaps to improve rigor and reuse.
• Build and develop the capability organization through hiring, coaching, and career pathways.
• Partner with product line leaders to enable pull from shared capability assets and standards.
• Implement iterative development practices and risk reduction to improve readiness.
• Lead integration of flight-control boards, navigation hardware, datalinks, and embedded systems for safe deployment.
