Job summary

Cincinnati Test Systems in Harrison, Ohio, seeks a Product Engineer to design and improve leak testing equipment. You will create 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and documentation while troubleshooting mechanical issues on‑site with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration with manufacturing and engineering, and ongoing design standard maintenance to enhance performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of mechanical design or product engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Able to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and improve mechanical components and assemblies for existing standard leak testing equipment.
• Create and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate existing product designs and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Work hands-on with equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, assembly, and engineering teams to resolve production challenges and support product improvements.
• Support engineering changes and design modifications from initial evaluation through implementation and testing.
• Maintain and improve engineering design standards, documentation, and procedures.
• Evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes to improve existing product designs.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams as needed.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
