Job summary

ASR Group in Louisiana is seeking a Process Engineer to deliver engineering services for sugar processing at the refinery. The role focuses on improving melt throughput, recovery, and reducing sucrose losses through sustainable process improvements and hands‑on field work.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Reliability, and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence. Strong data analysis, project leadership, and problem‑solving are required to support melt

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Engineering with Chemical Engineering preferred or related field.
Strong engineering fundamentals and data‑driven decision making.
Experience with process optimization, continuous improvement, and GMP/HACCP environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop methods to improve existing processes through automation and new technologies.
Collaborate with control engineers to optimize process controls for efficiency and product quality.
Troubleshoot process issues with operations and maintenance to implement practical improvements.
Provide hands‑on field support and mentor operators to strengthen process knowledge.
Identify opportunities to increase throughput, recovery, and reduce sucrose losses.
