Job summary

ASR Group's Louisiana refinery is seeking a Process Engineer to drive sustainable improvements, focusing on melt throughput, recovery, and sucrose loss reduction. The role emphasizes hands-on field engagement, data-based decisions, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include optimizing controls, troubleshooting, and mentoring operators while upholding safety, GMPs, and food safety standards in an aging facility.

Qualifications

• Five years of Chemical or Process Engineering experience; food manufacturing or refining preferred.
• Experience developing new processes and sustainable improvements.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating across operations, maintenance, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods to improve existing processes through automation and new technologies.
• Collaborate with Control Engineers to optimize process controls and quality.
• Provide hands-on field support and mentor operators.
• Identify opportunities to increase melt throughput, improve recovery, and reduce sucrose losses.
• Use data, lab results, and process trends to diagnose root causes and drive decisions.
• Manage process projects from scope to execution and follow-through.
• Support safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety procedures.
