You will apply process engineering fundamentals, automation, and data analytics, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to deliver sustainable improvements across an aging facility.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering with Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Data-based decision making from multiple sources.
• Lean Six Sigma methods for triggered events and proactive improvements.
• Unit operations, process fundamentals, and continuous improvement.
• Process measurement, lab analysis, automation, and control systems.
• Maintenance techniques that support reliable operation.
• Ability to learn the processes associated with refining and processing sugar cane.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Develop methods to improve existing processes through automation, process development, and new technologies.
• Works with Control Engineers to optimize process controls and fine‑tune control points for efficiency and quality.
• Assists with troubleshooting process issues and implementing practical, sustainable solutions.
• Provides hands‑on technical field support and engages operators to implement improvements.
• Identifies opportunities to increase melt throughput, improve recovery, and reduce sucrose losses.
• Uses operating data, lab results, and process trends to support data‑based decisions.
• Develops, trains, and mentors operators to strengthen process knowledge and execution.
• Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Reliability, and Engineering teams to drive improvements and excellence.
• Manages process projects from scope to execution and follow‑through.
• Performs lab testing and trials to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Provides operational support during startups, shutdowns, and high‑priority incidents.
• Adheres to safety, environmental, food safety, and food security procedures.
