Job summary

Resource Label Group is recruiting for a 1st Shift Flexo Press Assistant to support Press Operators in setup, maintenance, and cleanup of printing presses. Onsite training and growth within a skilled trade are offered, with prior printing experience a plus. Reports to the Pressroom Manager.

Pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. Schedule is 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years related manufacturing experience.
• Experience as a Press Assistant in printing is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret rulers and scales.
• Must have vision abilities: close, color, depth perception, focus.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive maintenance on presses, lubrication and minor adjustments.
• Help with setup and cleanup of presses according to schedule.
• Follow SDS procedures and handle hazardous chemicals safely.
• Assist other pressroom equipment as workload allows.
• Suggest ideas for productivity, quality, and reducing scrap.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
• Keep work area clean and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Work safely and efficiently.
• Learn to be a press assistant as requested.
