Job summary

Resource Label Group in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a 1st Shift Flexo Press Operator to set up and operate the printing press for labels and related products. Onsite training is provided, with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade in the printing industry and advance your career.

The position requires prior printing experience, attention to quality, and the ability to work Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional overtime. Pay range is $24.00–$34.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years related experience or training.
• At least 1 year of narrow-web Flexo printing experience required.
• Experience with color matching, die cutting, plate mounting and changeovers.
• Reading rulers and measurement devices accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read job orders and load dies into press, install and align print cylinders.
• Fill ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Start press and adjust speed and stock alignment to the print cylinder.
• Engage cylinders, adjust impression, and run approval strips for quality.
• Inspect print for register issues and adjust as needed.
• Clean plates, cylinders and dies; perform scheduled maintenance.
• Mix inks to maintain desired colors and viscosity.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
