Job summary

Hightop Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Prep/Event Chef for FIVE Event Center in Minneapolis, MN. This hands-on, fast-paced role supports our Executive Chef and contributes to events that guests remember.

You’ll help prepare from scratch, maintain consistency, and uphold kitchen standards in a high-volume catering environment. Expect approximately 3 days per week with potential additional hours during peak season.

Qualifications

• 2+ years cooking experience.
• Basic understanding of reading and converting recipes; basic kitchen techniques; knife skills; health and safety regulations.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills.
• Availability for early mornings, weekdays, and weekends.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and execution for events.
• Support the Executive Chef and culinary team in a fast-paced catering kitchen.
• Maintain consistency, organization, and high standards in a high-volume environment.
• Contribute to craft and pastry skills behind the scenes for event service.
