Job summary

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital seeks a Supervisor, Plant Operations to lead hands-on maintenance and EVS tasks on the 3PM–11:30PM shift. You will supervise the maintenance team, ensure CMS, infection control, and hazardous waste standards are met, and coordinate assigned work orders and safety protocols across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in facilities maintenance or plant operations, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, CMS, bloodborne pathogen, infection control, and hazardous waste regulations in healthcare.
• Ability to read SDS/MSDS and hazard communication standards.
• Strong verbal communication; able to respond to pages and radio calls under time pressure.
• Basic computer literacy for work order systems, scheduling, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned EVS and maintenance staff on shift.
• Plan daily tasks, conduct shift briefings, and supervise EVS and maintenance operations.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned-shift maintenance and EVS inquiries.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager and supervise day-to-day operations in their absence.
• Model service excellence and ensure a safe, compliant work environment.
