Job summary

U-Mix Products Company, a NEBCO Company, is seeking a high performing maintenance technician to join our team. This role focuses on daily repair, upkeep of plant equipment, and safe operation in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, welding and fabrication, maintaining inventory, and performing preventative maintenance while adhering to safety policies. A CDL is helpful but not required. Position requires 45-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 years metal fabrication experience or 6 months mechanic experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machine problems in a timely manner.
• Weld, torch, cut, and fabricate components as needed to maintain equipment.
• Maintain shop, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability of required items.
• Transport tools, equipment, and supplies between plants or job sites when needed.
• Operate sand and gravel equipment and, if required, use a skid-loader or forklift.
• Respond to emergencies to resolve safety concerns and perform preventative maintenance.
