Job summary

Kalmbach Feeds is seeking a Plant Manager who will be on the plant floor, leading by example to drive production efficiency, quality, and team development. You will model our core values and partner with shift supervisors to meet daily goals while managing costs.

The role emphasizes actionable leadership, safety compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on building strong teams and delivering reliable nutrition products to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in management or 10+ years of feed mill/production experience.
• Proven ability to lead by example and drive results on the plant floor.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Data-driven decision making across operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to meet production, quality, and customer goals.
• Plan and coordinate with shift supervisors to achieve objectives within budget.
• Optimize operations to increase capacity, flexibility, and quality while controlling costs.
• Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and manage production plans and budgets.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to design efficient processes.
• Maintain FSMA and HAACP compliance and lead safety initiatives.
