Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products is seeking a detail-oriented Plant Engineer to join our Ohio-based manufacturing team. You will work closely with plant leadership to ensure equipment reliability and process efficiency across the facility in a hands-on role.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and operations to minimize downtime while complying with FDA, GMP, and EHS standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Up to 4 years of related engineering or maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to create technical drawings.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tracking software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment for uptime.
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager to drive efficiency across operations.
  • Develop PM tasks with maintenance teams for site equipment.
  • Ensure PM work orders are completed on time.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant performance.
  • Train personnel on safety protocols and QC procedures.
  • Review project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Interpret developments and provide clear direction.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, SOP, and EHS.
  • Analyze downtime trends to improve uptime.
  • Conduct facility safety audits and verify machinery safety.
  • Support renovations, construction, maintenance, and machine installation.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
