Job summary

FPC Franchise seeks an Operations Manager in Houston to lead daily plant operations on a multi‑shift chemical manufacturing floor. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while partnering with leadership to transform the site and prepare for a new, highly profitable product line.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, a track record of Continuous Improvement, and strong PSM knowledge. Relocation assistance and a 12% bonus accompany a base $130k–$150k salary.

Qualifications

• Five+ years leadership in chemical production or manufacturing.
• Experience managing multi‑shift operations.
• Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations and regulations.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Track record of driving Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Experience using KPIs, cost analysis, and data to improve operations.
• Leadership and team development capability.
• Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001) and ERP.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations across a multi‑shift environment.
• Drive a zero‑defect culture in EHS, quality, and productivity.
• Champion Operational Discipline and safety culture.
• Coach shift managers to improve performance.
• Apply Lean principles and visual management to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Improve production flow, labor utilization, and efficiency.
• Support staffing decisions and production planning.
• Partner with Supply Chain to meet customer service goals.
• Participate in Tier 3 meetings and address KPIs.
• Manage departmental spending and support budgets.
• Lead 5S+1 and housekeeping improvements.
• Support EHS requirements and safety responsibilities.
