Job summary
Nucor Corporation Midwest seeks a Maintenance Technician to safely perform preventive and corrective maintenance on steel fabrication equipment and systems, ensuring reliable production. You will support machine repair, troubleshooting, and safety initiatives while assisting in guarding and safety device installation.
Applicants should have 2+ years in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, be able to read schematics, and hold OSHA 30 certification.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards.
- Demonstrate conduct aligned with company vision and values.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimal operation of equipment, systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot, repair and modify equipment to maintain safety and production efficiency.
- Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
- Train shop teammates on new equipment/modifications to existing equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
