Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production and facilities equipment at our Gurley, Alabama site. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or related apprenticeship completed.
Strong troubleshooting and calibration skills; ability to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environment; wear PPE.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair production and facilities equipment.
Perform maintenance and electrical duties in all departments to support production.
Rebuild gears, drives and pneumatic cylinders; perform plumbing and fabrication work.
Dismantle machines to access problem areas and replace worn parts.
Troubleshoot motors, motor controls, transformers, throttles, and lighting; replace components.
