Job summary

Actalent in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and advance the production of Class II and Class III interventional medical devices, including catheters and implants. You will work hands-on in the manufacturing environment to develop, transfer, validate, launch, troubleshoot, and continuously improve processes.

This role partners with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to transfer products into repeatable production, requiring strong problem-solving, process

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing of medical devices.
• Familiarity with quality systems (FDA/ISO) and validation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support in manufacturing to meet quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.
• Develop, transfer, and validate manufacturing processes for interventional devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, materials, and processes on the shop floor.
• Investigate manufacturing issues using structured problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve yield and throughput.
• Collaborate with Operations to establish repeatable manufacturing methods.
• Support production builds, pilot runs, first builds, and ramp-up activities.
• Develop operator training and manufacturing process documentation.
