Job summary

Valmet in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Trainer to deliver training on tissue converting equipment, combining classroom instruction with hands-on sessions.

You will coach operators and maintenance teams, drive improvements in training materials, and collaborate with service and engineering teams to ensure knowledge alignment. Willingness to travel up to 50% to support customers is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training on tissue converting equipment (approx. 30% classroom, 70% hands-on).
• Support customers and internal technicians by answering mechanical and troubleshooting-related questions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to operators and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support mechanical field service activities when not training, including installations, audits, trials, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and hands-on support at customer sites.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve existing training materials and programs.
• Collaborate with engineering, service teams, and Italian counterparts to ensure alignment on equipment knowledge and best practices.
• Promote a safe and structured learning environment for all training participants.
• Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and a coaching mindset.
