Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician to join our Boss Division. You will assemble hose fittings, prepare test samples, and perform mechanical and functional tests to evaluate performance, durability, and compatibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years' experience in product testing or related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hose fittings and prepare test samples using specialized equipment.
• Perform mechanical and functional testing to evaluate performance, durability, and compatibility.
• Analyze test data and recommend improvements to testing methods and product performance.
• Document testing procedures, observations, and results with accuracy.
• Prepare clear, professional reports and communicate findings to teams and stakeholders.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist in developing and improving SOPs and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the lab and manufacturing processes.
