Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Test Technician to join our Boss Division. This hands-on role involves assembling hose fittings, conducting mechanical and functional tests, and documenting results to ensure product quality and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in product testing, manufacturing, quality control, maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hose fittings and prepare test samples using a variety of specialized equipment
• Perform mechanical and functional testing to evaluate product performance, durability, and compatibility
• Analyze test data and recommend improvements to testing methods and product performance
• Document all testing procedures, observations, and results with a high level of accuracy
• Prepare clear, professional reports and communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot testing and assembly equipment
• Assist in developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and manufacturing processes

Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $18 to $25 per hour
