Job summary

Electric Motor Repair is seeking a mechanically inclined individual for a hands-on Mechanical Technician role. You will work in our shop, learning to repair and rebuild industrial equipment such as AC/DC motors and gearboxes, with progression toward field-service tasks as you gain skills.

You will be trained, assessed, and supported by experienced technicians, with opportunities to learn diagnostic techniques and hands-on repair methods in a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated by working with motors, gears and machinery.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on shop role.
• Strong work ethic with ability to perform physical tasks.
• Clear criminal background and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Repair and rebuild industrial equipment, including AC/DC motors and gearboxes.
• Disassemble and inspect equipment; identify worn components and failure causes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Replace bearings, seals, shafts and other components as needed.
• Repair, rebuild, align and test equipment; develop troubleshooting skills.
• Start in the shop and grow toward field-service work at customer facilities.
