Knower is seeking skilled Electric Motor Mechanics to join our growing network of industry-leading repair facilities across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor repair professionals who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, solving complex equipment challenges, and delivering high-quality repairs that keep our customers operating efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble AC and DC electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and related rotating equipment
• Perform mechanical inspections and precision measurements using dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, vibration meters, and other specialized tools
• Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics using multimeters, meggers, surge testers, Baker testers, and related equipment
• Perform rotor and armature balancing as required
• Replace and repair bearings, seals, brushes, gears, shafts, and other mechanical components
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical failures efficiently
• Operate repair, testing, and lifting equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts
• Accurately document repair findings, measurements, labor hours, and completed work
• Follow established quality standards, customer specifications, and safety procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support field service activities, including equipment installation, removal, and customer support when needed
• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced technicians

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience repairing electric motors, rotating equipment, industrial machinery, or related electro-mechanical systems preferred
• Experience with AC/DC motors, pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes, or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of electrical testing and motor diagnostics
• Ability to read technical drawings, repair specifications, and schematics
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license required
• Forklift, crane, or rigging experience is a plus
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment around machinery and moving equipment
