See your designs move beyond CAD and become real, working equipment. Stay involved from concept through manufacturing, testing and startup.
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design and improve custom industrial equipment used in highly controlled manufacturing environments. Direct pharmaceutical-equipment experience is not required. Strong mechanical engineers who understand how designs move from the computer to the production floor are encouraged to apply.
What You Will Do
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Design mechanical components, structures and equipment assemblies.
- Turn project requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.
- Select materials, components and fabrication methods.
- Maintain bills of material and engineering documentation.
- Review designs for fit, function, safety, serviceability and manufacturability.
- Resolve production issues with manufacturing and assembly teams.
- Support prototypes, testing, installation, startup and troubleshooting.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Three or more years of mechanical design or product-engineering experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial equipment or product-development environment.
- Strong 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing experience.
- Inventor and AutoCAD are preferred; SolidWorks, Creo or similar 3D CAD experience is transferable.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to solve practical problems with production-floor teams.
Helpful Experience
- Custom machinery, capital equipment, automation or process equipment.
- Stainless-steel fabrication, pressure vessels, piping or vacuum systems.
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, heat transfer or fluid systems.
- Regulated manufacturing such as pharmaceutical, medical device, food, aerospace or chemical processing.
Highlights include
- Design custom equipment rather than making repetitive product changes.
- Follow projects from concept through manufacturing and startup.
- Combine detailed design work with hands-on manufacturing support.
- Join an established organization with long-term projects and global reach.
