Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Power Electronics Intern for Fall 2026 in New Freedom, PA. The role covers component selection, circuit design, testing and verification within the Engineering & Product Development group.

The candidate will work on modern power electronics with emphasis on quality and documentation. The position is suited for a student pursuing an Electrical/Electronics degree with power electronics experience and strong English communication, analytical skills, and documentation

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with power electronics experience.
Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English; able to document design work clearly.
Ability to prepare technical summaries and test reports with engineering rigor.
Strong mathematical and analytical approach to engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

Fall 2026 internship in Power Electronics Group of Engineering & Product Development.
Conduct component selection, circuit design, analysis and debugging.
Perform performance testing, function verification and validation.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and comply with quality policies.
Prepare design reports and test documentation; support project objectives.
