Job summary

CF Industries Inc. invites a Mechanical Engineering Intern to work onsite and contribute to safety-focused projects during the Summer 2027 Internship Program.

You will report to the Chief Engineer and collaborate with diverse teams while gaining hands-on experience in process and reliability engineering. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program and capable of presenting ideas both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program.
• Ability to present ideas verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate with diverse teams.
• Gather process information and perform engineering calculations.
• Present project results and recommendations.
• Assist Process and Reliability Engineers with daily tasks.
• Monitor turbine and compressor efficiencies.
• Track machine tribology data, cooling water surveys, catalyst surveys, DCS trends, and lab results.
• Initiate and follow up on MOC submittals.
• Organize Process Safety Information for technicians.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses.
• Develop and review Mechanical Integrity Procedures.
