Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager in the Sacramento region. You will oversee projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring systems are installed correctly and on schedule across HVAC, piping, plumbing, and hydronic disciplines.

In this hands-on role, you’ll balance budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, while coordinating with owners, GCes, engineers, and field crews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing mechanical construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and hydronic systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both office staff and field crews.
• Comfortable making decisions and owning the outcome.
• Mechanical Engineering or Business-related degree preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction projects involving HVAC, piping, plumbing, and hydronic systems.
• Manage budgets, schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, and field crews.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders with a practical eye.
• Identify problems early and solve them before they become expensive.
• Ensure safety, quality, and code compliance are never optional.
• Support field teams with clear direction and realistic expectations.
