Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro in Linden, CA is hiring a Material Handler to support our manufacturing facilities. This hourly role follows a pay progression and starts at $20.70 per hour, with weekly pay.

Your duties will include moving materials, operating hand tools, and assisting with site housekeeping. You’ll need physical stamina, the ability to lift at least 50 lbs, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Able to operate in a dusty manufacturing environment.
• Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs and performing physical tasks.
• Able to climb in and out of equipment and sit for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard or work site.
• Opens containers and moves materials with hand tools and equipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures loads for transport.
• Conveys materials to storage or work areas and assists crane operators as needed.
• Lifts heavy objects and aids in cleaning and organizing work areas.
• Assembles crates for products using hand tools.
