Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a state-of-the-art production facility that manufactures architectural wood doors. The role is hands-on, reports to the Automation Engineering Manager, and focuses on driving process improvements on the factory floor.

You will work with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering to identify issues, develop practical solutions, and sustain gains.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Strong leadership and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.
• Prior project management experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance, collaborating with Production, CI, Maintenance and Engineering.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work with operators, supervisors and leadership to resolve issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for complex process analysis and technical problem solving.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics in conjunction with Production Teams.
