Veeco is seeking an entry-level engineer to assist with the assembly, integration, and testing of complex systems for customer shipment. You will learn system setup using formal procedures and documentation, support tool assembly, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives on 6S and production workflows.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering and 0–2 years of related manufacturing experience, with a strong willingness to learn and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering principles.
• Strong interest in learning complex system assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting in a hands-on production environment.
• Ability to follow established procedures and technical documentation with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to take direction, ask questions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn structured troubleshooting methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly, integration, testing, and preparation of complex systems and tools for customer shipment.
• Learn and execute system setup activities using established procedures and technical documentation.
• Support the assembly and disassembly of complex tools and systems while maintaining quality and delivery objectives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Execute corrective actions under the guidance of Manufacturing Engineers.
• Assist with minor repairs and rework activities while learning standard manufacturing processes.
