Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our client, a state-of-the-art wood door production facility. This hands-on role reports to the Automation Engineering Manager and emphasizes problem solving with cross-functional teams on the manufacturing floor.

You will lead process improvements, influence change, and ensure sustained gains while collaborating with Production, Maintenance and Engineering across plants. Relocation is available for a strong candidate.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 3+ years as Manufacturing Engineer in a custom assembly operation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for an independent role.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for solving hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance with Production, CI, Maintenance and Engineering.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
• Maintain presence on the manufacturing floor, working with operators, supervisors, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Serve as escalation resource for problems needing deeper process analysis.
• Coordinate efforts to plan, design, develop and validate manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas.
• Enhance safety, quality, productivity and delivery in assigned areas.
• Develop and drive metrics with Production Teams.
