Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT) in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist the engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers hands-on experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

The position runs 40 hours/week during the summer, with duties that include developing and tightening manufacturing processes, tooling design, failure analysis, and assistance across purchasing, quality, test and production to ensure

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program at college or university.
• Junior or Senior level preferred; Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes.
• Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing.
• Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields.
• Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained.
• Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment.
• Creating and updating work instructions.
• Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation.
