Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing operation in the greater Richmond, VA area. You will work directly on the production floor, troubleshooting issues and driving improvements to safety, efficiency, and throughput.

Relocation is offered for this opportunity. The role involves collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering to implement practical solutions that enhance productivity and quality on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 4-5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or assembly operations.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production challenges.
• Work directly with assemblers, supervisors, and production leadership to improve manufacturing processes.
• Analyze assembly lines and develop practical engineering solutions to improve productivity and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Implement process improvements that improve safety, efficiency, and throughput.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Engineering.
• Solve manufacturing problems independently with minimal supervision.
