Job summary

SolomonEdwards in Virginia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, maintain BOMs, and drive fixture and equipment initiatives that improve quality and efficiency. You will design fixtures, jig, and assembly aids and work with design, production, QA and procurement to implement changes across the line.

You will analyze processes, reduce cycle times, provide training to teams, and ensure documentation, work Instructions, and SOPs are updated as BOMs and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update BOMs to reflect design changes and specifications.
• Assess equipment needs and collaborate with procurement to identify and finalize purchases.
• Design fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids to improve production efficiency and quality.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure fixtures meet quality standards and document findings.
• Create and update work instructions and SOPs related to fixtures, equipment, and BOM changes.
