Job summary

Horizon Land Company seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our residential community safe, functional, and well maintained. You will handle general maintenance and repairs across buildings, grounds, equipment, and infrastructure with independence and attention to detail.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, problem-solving, and pride in keeping a property running smoothly, including weather prep and seasonal tasks. Local travel within the community is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools used in the construction and repair of manufactured homes, buildings, underground utilities, or other structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on building and grounds systems throughout the assigned property.
• Perform general maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
• Inspect equipment and machinery to identify items in need of repair and make or ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine necessary repairs in coordination with the Community Manager and Regional Manager.
• Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals when needed.
• Maintain and repair waterlines throughout the assigned property.
• Help ensure necessary equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance with approval from the Community Manager and/or Regional Manager.
