Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility and equipment upkeep at our Newark, Ohio site. This hands-on role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, safety, and reliability.

The ideal candidate troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues, performs repairs, and collaborates with team to minimize downtime. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in maintenance or related fields is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Experience in maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, or related field.
• Able to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other issues.
• Inspect equipment for safety concerns and reliability.
• Complete repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and professionally.
• Assist with installation and servicing of equipment as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and follow safety procedures.
• Respond to maintenance requests and support daily operations.
