Job summary

Vermeer Corporation is seeking a technically minded individual for a hands‑on maintenance role on the 2nd shift in Piedmont, SC. You’ll support repair and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electrical systems to keep production running smoothly.

A collaborative, customer‑focused mindset and pride in solving problems are essential. You will troubleshoot and repair across multiple systems, maintain accurate records in Thrive, and work with mentors, peers, and vendors to ensure

Qualifications

Two years’ experience in equipment maintenance or equivalent
Associate degree in basic trades and one year of similar maintenance experience or three years’ experience elsewhere
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools, volt meters, read blueprints and electrical schematics
Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving techniques
Effective communication with mentors/peers/internal customers and external vendors
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Certification in Thrive LO/TO and Electrically Qualified team member

Responsibilities

Perform and accurately record scheduled preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of equipment
Create a positive customer experience with mentors/mentees, peers, internal customers and external suppliers
Accurately utilize the maintenance data system Thrive
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical equipment across systems
Serve as a subject matter expert within one to two specific systems and follow safety protocols as a Lockout/Tagout Team Member and Electrically Qualified Team Member
