Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Tech C for the 2nd shift to support safe, reliable operation of production equipment. You will perform hands-on maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and assist senior technicians to minimize downtime and drive reliability on an entry-to-mid level team.

You will work with engineers and operators, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement while following safety standards and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and safety basics are required.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and interpret schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as bearings, belts, and gearboxes.
• Support conveyance systems, pumps, valves, and utility systems (steam, air, water).
• Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Identify and resolve common mechanical issues affecting safety, quality, or production.
• Document issues, root causes, and corrective actions to teams.
