Job summary

Housing Trust Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in the Town of Florida, NY. This full-time, hourly role requires overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring the property's appearance and operation, and performing hands-on repairs as needed.

The position involves supervising staff, coordinating schedules with vendors, and managing preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems while adhering to budgets and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and technical instructions.
• Ability to write reports and procedures, and to present information clearly.
• Ability to perform basic algebra and geometry for planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance for the community as directed by Property Manager.
• Supervise staff, provide training, motivation, and performance feedback.
• Direct scheduling of maintenance personnel and vendors per policies.
• Monitor inventory and manage turnover and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and address safety hazards.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Enforce safety policies and manage budget adherence.
• Collaborate on special projects and coordinate with Maintenance Technician.
