Job summary

The Springs Living is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to join The Springs at Grand Park in Billings, Montana, for a temporary, full-time assignment. You will help keep our community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff, solving problems with your hands and attention to detail.

You’ll perform general repairs, maintain outdoor spaces, and support building systems such as HVAC and pool areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, apartment, or property maintenance preferred.
• Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or related trades.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and communication.
• Dependability, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance in resident apartments and common areas.
• Maintain outdoor spaces including lawns, flower beds, walkways, and parking areas.
• Assist with maintenance of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, pool, fitness, and kitchen areas.
• Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies organized, secure, and properly stored.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and follow established safety procedures.
• Support the Director of Plant Operations with daily tasks, special projects, and maintenance planning.
• Operate community vehicles safely when needed.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, visitors, and fellow team members.
