The Gund Company is seeking a Maintenance Operator I to support upkeep, safety, and reliability of our facility and equipment in St. Louis, MO.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a mechanical aptitude who wants to build a career in industrial maintenance. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and simple improvements while developing skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school, vocational training, or maintenance coursework is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical documents, drawings, and manuals.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on facility systems.
• Maintain doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and building hardware.
• Replace lighting and perform basic electrical repairs.
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacements.
• Support grounds maintenance and exterior upkeep.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Assist in coordinating contractor activities and facility services.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders on schedule.
