Job summary

The Gund Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operator III for the St. Louis site on 2nd Shift (2:30p-10:30p).

This role leads the second shift maintenance team, ensuring equipment, systems, and facilities operate safely and reliably while supporting production goals. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and drives, conveyors, sensors, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments, including elevated areas and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead maintenance technician on second shift and primary maintenance resource.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on safety and production needs.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes of recurring issues.
• Recommend and implement equipment reliability improvements.
• Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders in CMMS and coordinate with teams.
