Job summary

OM Produce Inc. is seeking a hands-on Logistics & Transportation Manager in Irving, Texas to own end-to-end logistics and transportation operations.

You will oversee inbound/outbound freight, route execution, fleet management, driver supervision, and compliance, while collaborating with Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales, and Customer Service to align supply chain with business goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive logistics or transportation experience, including supervising drivers in a CDL environment
• Deep experience in food distribution, fresh produce, perishables, or related high-volume logistics
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and fleet management
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills for managing drivers and stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• On-site role based in Irving, Texas; English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery
• Support daily dispatch coordination and driver assignments, monitor routes in real time
• Ensure adequate driver coverage across shifts and coordinate with warehouse
• Lead ride-alongs, coaching, onboarding and development of drivers
• Lead and develop logistics team including dispatchers and coordinators
• Set performance expectations and conduct regular reviews for direct reports
• Foster accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the team
• Partner with HR on hiring and workforce planning for logistics roles
• Own DOT/FMCSA compliance and ensure proper record-keeping and inspections
• Manage cost, KPI tracking, and cross-functional communications with Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales
• Leverage routing software, TMS, ELD, and ERP tools to optimize operations
• Develop SOPs for logistics functions and stay updated on industry trends
