Job summary

CT19 is seeking a hands-on physicist or engineer to join a rapidly growing quantum-hardware company. You will build, integrate and test complex experimental systems, turning scientific concepts into robust, repeatable technology.

You will work with research, engineering and software teams through the full development cycle, using precision optics, laser, RF, vacuum and control-system technologies to ensure reliable system performance in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred in physics, engineering, applied physics or related discipline.
• Several years of hands-on experimental, laboratory or R&D experience.
• Strong practical background in optics- or physics-led experimental systems.
• Coding ability, ideally including Python and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate and test complex experimental hardware systems
• Work with precision optical, laser, RF, vacuum and control-system technologies
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting and performance improvement activities
• Develop and maintain tools for data acquisition, analysis and experimental automation
• Collaborate across physics, hardware and software teams to deliver reliable system performance
