CT19, incorporated seeks a hands-on Laser Technician / Engineer to join its growing R&D team. You will work in the laboratory with infrared gas laser systems, supporting development, testing and optimisation for potential commercial applications.
This role is not desk-bound; you will assemble, align, calibrate and test sophisticated laser hardware, troubleshoot issues and contribute to ongoing system improvements, while maintaining strong lab safety practices and owning Laser Safety Officer
Enjoy working with lasers but wish you could spend more time developing new technology rather than simply maintaining existing equipment?
We're working with an innovative US technology company developing advanced infrared gas laser systems for a new approach to uranium isotope enrichment.
They're looking for a hands-on Laser Technician / Engineer to join their growing R&D team, supporting the development, testing and optimisation of laser technology that could play an important role in the future of nuclear energy.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days behind a desk. You'll be in the laboratory, working directly with laser systems, solving technical challenges and helping turn experimental technology into something commercially viable.
You’ll need practical experience working with lasers, optics or related precision equipment, whether gained in an industrial or laboratory environment.
An understanding of laser alignment, optical diagnostics, calibration and troubleshooting will be particularly valuable.
Experience with CO₂ lasers, infrared gas lasers or optical testing would be especially relevant, although direct isotope enrichment experience isn't required.
A technical degree would be useful, but equivalent hands-on laboratory experience is equally welcome.
This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
