Controls, Security & Network Lead - Data Center

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controls, Security & Network Compute Lead to oversee and drive the implementation, integration, and management of BMS, EPMS, controls systems, physical security infrastructure, and network operations across large-scale data center projects. This individual will play a critical leadership role in ensuring system reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and operational efficiency while collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and management of BMS (Building Management Systems), EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems), controls systems, security, and network infrastructure initiatives across data center environments.
• Oversee implementation of physical and cybersecurity protocols to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Manage network performance, system reliability, and infrastructure optimization across multiple sites/projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, commissioning, construction, and IT teams to support project execution and operational readiness.
• Support integration and troubleshooting of BMS, EPMS, HVAC controls, SCADA, access control, CCTV, and related mission-critical systems.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to technical teams, contractors, integrators, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking, controls, and security-related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and best practices for infrastructure and security operations.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation efforts.
• Ensure all systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure, controls systems, BMS/EPMS environments, physical security, or related technical fields.
• Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical infrastructure projects, preferably within data centers.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of network architecture, cybersecurity principles, and security technologies.
• Experience with BMS, EPMS, PLC/controls systems, SCADA, access control, surveillance systems, and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, and industrial/enterprise networking environments.
• Familiarity with mission-critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure within data centers.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and external vendors.
