Job summary

Safariland, LLC in Peoria, AZ is hiring a Hard Armor Production Technician to support hands-on manufacturing across multiple stages of the production process. This role focuses on operating presses, waterjets, and related hard armor processes during the second shift.

You will prepare materials, inspect for defects, document production steps, maintain 5S-compliant work areas, and collaborate with the team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, or related hands-on work experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and consistently follow standardized manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled second shift, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required by production demands. This position is eligible for a 10% second-shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities to support second-shift production requirements, including operation and support of the press, waterjet, and related Hard Armor processes.
• Prepare, organize, stage, and handle raw materials, components, and products according to work instructions and production priorities.
• Inspect materials and products throughout the manufacturing process for visible defects and nonconformances and report concerns.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and maintain product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles and workplace standards.
• Follow all safety policies, quality requirements, and operating procedures for equipment and processes.
• Communicate production, material, equipment, safety, and quality concerns to the lead or supervisor in a timely manner and support shift handoffs.
• Collaborate with team members, the Special Equipment Lead, Production Supervisor, and other personnel to meet production requirements.
