Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a Hard Armor Production Technician to support the manufacturing of hard armor products. You will perform hands-on production activities across the manufacturing process and contribute to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced, second-shift environment.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with a 10% second-shift differential. Location is 9330 N 91st Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345, United States.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, or related hands-on work experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and consistently follow standardized manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled second shift, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required by production demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities to support assigned second-shift production requirements, including operation and support of the press, waterjet, and related Hard Armor processes as trained and assigned.
• Prepare, organize, stage, and handle raw materials, components, and products according to work instructions, production priorities, and supervisor direction.
• Inspect materials and products throughout the manufacturing process for visible defects, damage, or nonconformance and immediately report concerns to the lead or supervisor.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and maintain product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles and workplace organization standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality requirements, approved work instructions, equipment procedures, and manufacturing processes.
• Communicate production, material, equipment, safety, and quality concerns to the lead or supervisor in a timely manner and support clear shift handoffs as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members, the Special Equipment Lead, Production Supervisor, and other personnel to support production requirements.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the facility. Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to work in warehouse and production environments, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
