Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities to support second-shift production requirements, including operation of the press and waterjet.
• Prepare, organize, stage, and handle raw materials, components, and products according to work instructions and production priorities.
• Inspect materials and products for defects and nonconformance, reporting concerns to the lead or supervisor.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and maintain product traceability throughout the process.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following 5S principles and company policies.
• Follow all safety policies, quality requirements, and approved work instructions and procedures.
• Communicate production, material, equipment, safety, and quality concerns promptly to the lead or supervisor.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production needs.

Summary of Position

The Hard Armor Production Technician supports the manufacturing of hard armor products by performing hands-on production activities throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.

Brief Description

The Hard Armor Production Technician supports the manufacturing of hard armor products by performing hands-on production activities throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.

Hours: Monday - Thursday (11:30AM - 10:00PM)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities to support assigned second-shift production requirements, including operation and support of the press, waterjet, and related Hard Armor processes as trained and assigned.
• Prepare, organize, stage, and handle raw materials, components, and products according to work instructions, production priorities, and supervisor direction.
• Inspect materials and products throughout the manufacturing process for visible defects, damage, or nonconformance and immediately report concerns to the lead or supervisor.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and maintain product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles and workplace organization standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality requirements, approved work instructions, equipment procedures, and manufacturing processes.
• Communicate production, material, equipment, safety, and quality concerns to the lead or supervisor in a timely manner and support clear shift handoffs as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members, the Special Equipment Lead, Production Supervisor, and other personnel to support production requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, or related hands-on work experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and consistently follow standardized manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled second shift, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required by production demands. This position is eligible for a 10% second-shift differential.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the facility. Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to work in warehouse and production environments, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
